Our 2012 Hatching is off to a good start!
If you did not hear in spring 2012 I had a majority of my young marans stock stolen right from my front yard in the winter cooping. Majority of the Show Quality birds were taken but I did have a couple out of my last batch of Winston and a shipped in hen that were left because of the location they were in.
But with every action there is a re-action and we had our first batches of marans with all feathered shanks, no mossy, and slate grey on there feet out of our show wining rooster and pullets. I will only be retaining a few for my 2013 program but I am very happy with the progress and cannot wait for what progress still awaits.

OUR 2011 BEST OF BREED AND BEST OF STANDARD MARANS COCKEREL
This is our 2011 cockerel Duke out of Winston. 50+ birds to take the place of champion of his division and he got a lot of compliments also... Below is another picture of him as a young cockerel.
